The ice fishing house built by the Win-E-Mac shop class last school year is still available. If you are interested or wish to inquire about the price, contact Superintendent Randy Bruer (rbruer@wemschools.org or 687-2236/563-2900). The full specs are below. If you have any questions about these specs or other general questions about the construction of the ice house, contact shop teacher Nate Johnson (njohnson@wemschools.org or 687-2236/563-2900). Currently, you can see this Ice House in person at Lakeside Building Center, Hwy 2, Erskine.
- The ice fishing house is 8′ x 14′ with a V front. The trailer frame is the same as an Ice Castle. The drop trailer is wired for trailer brakes and has a 2” trailer coupler. There is a vented thermostat-controlled furnace and spray foam insulation, as well as exterior mounts for propane tanks. It is wired for both 12v and 120v, with an exterior RV plug for generator hook-up.
- There are 6 holes with covers and lights (plus the ability exists to add additional spearing holes through the frame), and a separate room for storage or a bathroom, with additional storage under the benches. There is a cedar finish on the inside with vinyl plank flooring and MinnKota vinyl windows.
